Danny Games, an executive with Chesapeake Energy, fills his SUV every night without ever having to go away from his home.

In the beginning of this year, the Chesapeake Energy executive had his 2009 Tahoe furnished to incinerate compressed natural gas, and had a Phill-brand natural gas home refueling piece set up in his car port. Games pronounced as far as natural gas usefulness is considered CenterPoint Energy recognizes his home refueling station is the solitary one of its type in the state.

When Games arrives home at night, he extends a thin yellow cord from the unit and bonds it to his fomite. While the practice appears about the same as a car filling up at a gasoline pump, there’s a big distinction in the cost, he said.

Games said “It has been about 50 percent less than the cost of unleaded. Besides the cost, CNG is friendlier to the environment. A U.S. Department of Energy study determined CNG reduced carbon dioxide emissions by up to 30 percent and other pollutants by up to 90 percent.”

Games further added that “It burns cleaner. It doesn’t produce the particulates you get from petroleum. The beauty of this for Arkansas is that it is literally coming out of the ground here.”

Arkansas is placed 12th among the 32 natural gas producing states in 2006 and 2007 when the state had 3.3 trillion cubic feet of established natural gas reserves, the University of Arkansas Center for Business and Economic Research said in an August account quoting the national Energy Information Administration.

Production has been buoyed up in current years by investigation in the Fayetteville Shale play in north-central Arkansas, one of the nation’s 10-largest natural gas fields. Chesapeake Energy is amongst the major participants in the Fayetteville Shale play.

The CNG refueling unit which, Games had set up at his home cost approximately $4,000 but he also enjoyed a $2,000 tax credit. He had a separate meter put in for it and also had a second electric meter set up because he required a perfect reporting of the cost linked with having his SUV run on compressed natural gas.

OEM Systems, an Oklahoma company, changed over the Tahoe. The transition cost approximately $12,000 and included some alters to the engine and setting up a CNG tank where the extra tire is situated on a standard Tahoe. The gasoline tank was left undamaged.

The CNG tank stocks 9.2 gallons of natural gas, which Games said is adequate to take his fomite about 180 miles. If he voids the tank before arriving at his destination, he could push a button on the frontage dash to switch to the gasoline tank without halting.

The Phill unit accepts the natural gas from the meter at Games’ home and contracts it down to approximately 3,000 PSI, and then a controller set up in his fomites’ engine returns the gas to standard atmospheric force to burn as fuel in the fomite.

Games said “putting a gallon of CNG in the tank takes about two hours. Totally filling an empty tank could take 18 hours, though Games said he drives to and from work — about 100 miles per day — without coming close to the vehicle’s total range.”

A spokesperson with OEM said the lone car developed in the U.S. furnished to burn CNG is the Honda Civic NGV. The cost of a original model begins around $25,000 — equated to the $23,800 price tag on a Civic hybrid and $15,000 for a normal model — and the nearby dealer that stocks the fomite is in New York. In Arkansas, Arkansas Oklahoma Gas operates a CNG station in Fort Smith, and Little Rock National Airport has a commercial CNG refueling station.

Weld County actually runs on natural gas as it has more than 17,000 active wells. Now, county officials and energy companies are hopeful to fuel thousands of fomites with compressed natural gas (CNG).

Officials are supporting the Weld County Smart Energy initiative this summer, with programs to set up the first public CNG stations along the northern Front Range by the end of the year. Lasting objectives for the public-private joint venture include constructing 25 natural-gas filling stations and bringing 10,000 natural-gas fomites on the road in Weld County.

County commissioner Barbara Kirkmeyer said “the program is ‘win-win-win’ for Weld — and other gas-rich parts of the state — to reduce air pollution and carbon emissions, lead the transition away from gasoline-powered cars and trucks, and support a booming, local industry.”

CNG fomite technology has progressively developed in the last decade. In the U.S. there are an approximated 120,000 fitted fomites, several that are regarded “bi-fuel” that can run on gasoline or natural gas, and 1,100 fueling stations. Much of that substructure is government controlled, serving buses and fleet fomites, but other than that it is not accessible for public use.

The counts are a dip in the bucket when equated with the aggregate number of American cars and gas pumps, and there is not a solitary natural-gas station exposed to the public between Denver and Cheyenne.

That Weld County was a natural-gas fomite fueling desert did not make logic to Kirkmeyer. There are more natural gas wells in Weld than anywhere else in the state, but it looks like the county and the industry are neglecting chances.

A few years ago, Kirkmeyer went up to the functionaries from Encana, Anadarko, and Noble Energy, which all control wells in Weld County, about new areas for encouraging CNG. The collaborators found the Smart Energy program.
In addition to the economic gains, the plan is also set up for substantial ecological vantages. Compressed natural gas is much more resourceful and clearer than gasoline or diesel, cutting down vehicle carbon dioxide discharges by 25%, nitrous oxide discharges by up to 60%, and carbon monoxide expels by over 90%. Changing over a heavy-duty truck to run on CNG as an alternative to diesel is equal to getting rid of 325 cars from the highways, according to county officials.

A lump of the money will go to construct public pumps, probably at subsisting gas stations, with anticipated locates in Fort Lupton, Windsor and Evans, among other towns. Weld County traffic engineer Janet Carter said “two or three natural-gas stations should be open for business or under construction by the end of the year. Regionally, the first public CNG pumps in Wyoming will open this summer in Riverton.”

He further added that “some of the grants will also go toward county fleet conversion, and Carter said the program could eventually share funds to convert local towns and school districts’ vehicles, too. Weld County has committed to converting 50 vehicles over the next six years, and the energy companies will take similar action over the next decade or so. The county is also undertaking a public-education program to increase awareness, and has included Aims Community College in the Smart Energy partnership to design a curriculum for natural-gas vehicle technicians. We are on the forefront. Weld County is the leader for doing this. The state is modeling off Weld to promote similar steps on the Western Slope.”

Even though the Smart Energy partnership is all set, the only hurdle is whether drivers can be convinced to switch over to CNG has to be waited and watched for.

Toyota Motor Sales (TMS) USA required the assistance of the Surfrider Foundation to exchange a stock Camry Hybrid into one fuelled by compressed natural gas (CNG). CNG is plentiful in the US and it is also dirt-free as well as protected. Total system productivity is 125kW that is 170hp. Official fuel figures are 32, 24 and 33mpg for city, thoroughfare and collective figures severally. Toyota anticipates an overall array of over 250 miles (402km).

In reality the Toyota Motor Sales (TMS) U.S.A., Inc. has joined with the Surfrider Foundation to produce a particularly customized Camry Hybrid fuelled by compressed natural gas (CNG), pondering Toyota participation with environment awareness. The Toyota Surfrider Camry Hybrid CNG and two tailored Prius gas-electric hybrid fomites are on show in the Environmental Lifestyle Zone of the Toyota fomite exhibit at the 2009 SEMA Show. The Prius constitutes Toyota’s present dedication to the environs while the Camry Hybrid CNG forces the gasbag on alternative fuel theories.

At the finale of the 2009 SEMA Show Toyota will endow with a production edition of the Surfrider Camry Hybrid CNG to the Surfrider Foundation. The fomite will be driven to, and exhibited at several outreach campaigns, education plans and beach cleaning events.

Engineers substituted the petrol fuel system with a CNG unit situated in the extra tyre well. The exterior was procured out by a multi-colour wrap with CNG and Surfrider logos, a tradition front grille, 20-inch alloy wheels and a back shock absorber that blankets both tailpipe and exhaust fumes system. The ride height was let down on a changeable coilover suspension system. The interior includes grey suede leather and black leather covering, and a dependable watching window for the exhibit of CNG fuel cylinders.

The present gains of CNG are exaggerated by quickly changing market circumstances and a step-up in consumer environmental consciousness. As a transportation fuel, natural gas is a dirt-free and protected gasoline option. It can potentially decrease U.S. reliance on foreign oil and decrease vehicle operating costs. At present, more than 99% of natural gas utilized in the U.S. comes from home and other American sources.

The CNG arrangement was constructed by Metal Crafters of Fountain Valley, Calif. To alter the stock Camry Hybrid to a CNG vehicle, the gasoline fuel system was substituted with a CNG system in the extra tire well area.

Toyota also teamed up with Street Image to promote modification the Camry Hybrid CNG Show Car for the 2009 SEMA Show. The outside of the fomite was provided a sportier conception appearance with the setting up of a belligerent body kit having a tradition front grill and exceptional rear buffer that blankets the tail pipe and exhaust system. The overall ride altitude was brought down on a changeable coilover suspension, providing the car to cuddle the set of 20-inch alloy wheels rolling on Toyo Proxy 4 tires. New multi-coloured fomites enfold that characteristics CNG and Surfrider logos finishes the unparalleled look.

The Toyota Surfrider Camry Hybrid CNG Specifications Preliminary is as follows:

Conventional diesel tanks are particularly missing from the red Freightliner tractor possessed by Ashwaubenon-based Paper Transport Inc. Instead, the truck boasts metal-cased tanks at the rear end of the cab comprising compressed natural gas (CNG).

PTI is functioning with seven trucks in their fleet of 300 fomites that function on CNG which is a shift meant at extending its clients an alternative that cuts down greenhouse gas emissions and strikes into an plentiful domestic energy source.

The price for CNG trucks is about $50,000 additional per unit than diesel and there are further preservation costs, but Shefchik said the program is “as good as we hoped” and will concede a return on investment – particularly if oil costs stay high, which PTI forebodes.

Jeff Shefchik, president of Paper Transport Inc. said that “We wanted to find an environmental solution for transportation for our customers. For manufacturers and our customers, transportation is a large part of their carbon footprint. We wanted to find a solution that would give us a competitive advantage.”

PTI began searching for CNG about two years ago, when talk of carbon references and cap-and-trade were live matters. The company controlled a pair of test fomites early last year. Shefchik further said “At that time there was no one in the country running the trucks the way we wanted to run them over the road.”

By late summer, PTI appended five more CNG trucks to the fleet with the assistance of endowment money from the Wisconsin Clean Transportation Program. Shefchik added “We have more than 700,000 miles on the trucks, combined, and it’s working on the (route) that we’re doing.” He later on added that “availability of refuelling infrastructure and existing horsepower options for engines limit some of the applications, though he said higher horsepower power plants are in development.”

Wisconsin Clean Cities is a non-profit organization centered on promoting the usage of alternative fuels and vehicles while assisting to develop refuelling substructure to back up those technologies. The Clean Cities plan, a national plan, is working to cut down petroleum usage in the United States by 2.5 billion gallons per year by 2020.

Lorrie Lisek, executive director of Wisconsin Clean Cities stated “Vehicles using compressed natural gas are on the rise in the state. In Milwaukee, they’re putting in some new fuelling infrastructure and Transit Express is using CNG, so there are a variety of fleets already on board and using it.” “There is no one silver bullet. It’s going to take a combination of all of the alternative fuels to make a difference and lessen our dependence on petroleum.”

One of the key elements in expelling is a CNG refuelling installation near Milwaukee. The comparatively flat character of the shape between Green Bay and Chicago causes CNG trucks a feasible alternative.

Shefchik said “CNG trucks — which cut greenhouse gas emissions by 20 percent compared to diesel engines — won’t fill all of PTI’s needs, but the technology works for some.” He stated about adaptation in the broader trucking market “Segments of the industry, I think that’s how it’s going to evolve over the next few years. It’s not something where two years from now 80 percent of trucks are going to be using natural gas. It’s going to be a small percentage and there are some new engines coming out that we’re going to be testing this summer.”

Shefchik alleged that “At about $2 a gallon, CNG is half the current cost of the diesel. Range on a CNG truck is about 300 miles, while diesel trucks run about 1,200 miles before re-fuelling.”

The CNG-driven bus operators in the city have unexpectedly altered fares from Friday aligned with the tariff rise of compressed natural gas (CNG), although the government is yet to reform the existent fares. The drivers of CNG-run three-wheelers have begun charging extra fares from riders to blanket the current hike of CNG tariff.

A CNG driver remarked “I needed to spend Tk 160-180 per day on CNG before the price hike. Now I’ve to spend Tk 250 for the same due to the increased price.”

In the meantime, a BSS report adds, “the government is to take decisions on re-fixing the fares of buses and minibuses by this week against the backdrop of the latest CNG price hike, officials said Friday.”

Ayubur Rahman Khan who is the Chairman of Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) commented “We would contact the Ministry of Communications Sunday and take decisions on the probable fares of buses and minibuses by this week after holding discussion with all stakeholders.”

He called for the transport proprietors not to advance the fares randomly till the new decisions come into effect.

“The association leaders earlier agreed not to increase the fares until the new decisions are made effective,” he said.

The BRTA chairman said the fares of buses, minibuses and other fomites would be augmented by holding steadiness with the improved fuel costs as well as regarding the people’s capability.

He said they would also regard the financial weight of the transport proprietors due to augmented fuel cost and traffic over-crowding congestion.

“A bus or minibus can ply 60/70 kilometres a day in Dhaka city instead of their usual capacity of 160/170 kms due to traffic jam,” he added.

On Friday, the CNG-driven bus companies were seen billing at least Tk 4.0 additional on Friday from passengers for shortened paths. The rate was in excess of Tk 5.0 for long distances that required the passengers to hold in affrays with the transport workforce.

After calling in at several bus ticket counters throughout the city, it was detected that the employees of different bus companies were exchanging printed tickets as normal. On the other hand, informally augmented fares are stamped on those tickets with rubber stamps.

Moitri Paribahan a ticket seller said in front of the National Press Club, “We have been instructed by the transport owners to increase the fares, as the price of CNG has been increased significantly,” summing up that tickets with extra fares will be printed very soon.

Rajib Hossain, an employee of a private company said “I travelled from Khilgaon to Motijheel by Bahon Paribahan at Tk 8.0 Thursday. But the same bus company charged Tk 12 for the same route Friday, citing the recent gas price hike.”

He also said that the bus operators were billing advanced fares than the augmented rate. “The illegal price hike should be closely monitored, as it puts pressure on the fixed-income citizens.”

The Association of Bus Companies president Khandker Rafiqul Hossain Kajal said the resolution of CNG price rise actually frustrated them. “We don’t think that the BERC needs to do exactly what the Petrobangla suggests.” He further added that “a proposal would be sent to the government soon to raise bus fares in line with the price hike of CNG and other fuels.”

Based on the info from Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) running of several CNG-run fomites, sparked off by lesser price of the fuel, is predominately responsible for producing harsh traffic jam in the city.

Last week, the BERC also increased costs of diesel, kerosene, petrol and octane by Tk 2.0 per litre.

Ocean Engineering Systems (OES) CNG is in the concluding phases of building up its compressed natural gas home refueling stations. Gas Today analyses the skill and the growth of the CNG-fuelled fomites market.

The household natural gas connector can power heating, hot water, cooking and also the barbeque. Apart from this the household natural gas connector will soon feed another omnipresent article detected at home and that is the car. OES CNG has formulated a new compressed natural gas (CNG) refueling arrangement that can be set up outside domestic garages.

Fuel station at home

CNG@HOME functions by absorbing gas from the household natural gas supply and compressing it into the fomites CNG cylinder. It takes more or less three hours to fill up a normal passenger car, which will provide it a scope of 200–250 km.

Security and effortlessness were the fundamental features that had to be looked at for a domestic refueling division. The divisions will robotically switch off when the container is filled, permitting owners to ‘set and forget’. Security arrangements are established into the unit, so all the owner requires to do is allow for enough ventilating system and a lucid, unsoiled atmosphere with no tree or bush projection.

Contrived for the home with tranquillity in mind, the motor and compressor are held on a freestanding rubber mounted sub-frame, ensuing in slight or no oscillation and noise to a lesser extent. The arrangement should create no more noise than a usual split system air conditioner, says OES CNG.

The system also has the facility to give warning signal to the householder as well as inform the producer when regular or other maintenance is expected. In disparity to some abroad home CNG refueling stations, which could do with a return to the factory for schedule servicing, OES CNG has contrived the system for on-the-spot servicing.

Market Mix

The conventional markets for CNG fomites are citified buses and self-propelled vehicles, but OES CNG sees a “big future” for urban deliveries, cabs, shopkeepers and private travelers. As such, the choice to be added to market admits two domestic prototypes and two marketable units. The household units will have a volume of 6 cubic meters per hour which is equal to 6.6 litters of petrol. One unit will be a standard slow-fill unit and the other will have some interior storage capability to offer a fractional rapid fill.

Business stations call for an extensive capital investment, which would also require a large customer base for a realistic return on investment. As such, home refuellers offer the most gainful way of establishing the early market for CNG vehicles.

A blend of business and household refuelling stations will endow with the flexibility obligatory to set up a new fuel into the market, says OES CNG.

Fuelling market growth

The company is figuring out to encourage growth of the CNG fomite market. On a government level, the company is buttonholing the Federal Government to guarantee that no rule is inserted that disfavors CNG. At the present time, the Government is scheduling to enforce an excise tax on CNG as a fomite fuel, at half the value inflicted on diesel and petrol.

At a user level, it is formulating leasing and financing packets that will decrease the primary investment essential by homeowners caring to set up home refuelling units. On an industry level, it has formulated connections with vehicle producers with the intention of seeing a modified number of CNG-powered fomites on the market.

OES CNG says, “Most original equipment manufacturers have CNG models in their range overseas, and we hope that as we roll out the refuelling infrastructure and the home refuellers, they will begin to add CNG models to their Australian range.”

Last week, Oklahoma State University (OSU) functionaries observed the commitment of a new compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station. This new fueling station is located north of the main OSU campus. The CNG station is to fuel the campus fleet.

The OSU has formally unfolded its own natural gas fueling station. It is the second Clean Energy fueling station in the state, which will not only serve as a fueling and housing station for OSU transport buses but also as a public fueling station. This OSU fueling station will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

In the picture above Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin (center), besides OSU sponsor and alternative-fuel promoter T. Boone Pickens (right), OSU President Burns Hargis (left) and Clean Energy functionaries were on hand to commit the station.

Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin, together with OSU patron and alternative fuel promoter T. Boone Pickens, OSU President Burns Hargis and Clean Energy functionaries dedicated the Clean Energy compressed natural gas fueling station north of the main Oklahoma State University grounds.

Governor Fallin of Oklahoma said “This is a great example of how a large public entity like Oklahoma State University can make a real difference and be both fiscally and environmentally responsible. The Governor Fallin further added “By converting their vehicles to natural gas, OSU is saving the state money through lower fuel costs while promoting the use of a fuel that is abundant in the state of Oklahoma.”

Alternative fuel advocate T. Boone Pickens said that “I am so proud of Oklahoma State for demonstrating such leadership in addressing an issue so important to the future of our country.” He went on to say that “It is imperative that America reduce our dependence on OPEC oil and find ways to use energy resources we have in North America.”

Oklahoma State University has changed over all its transportation and or community buses to compressed natural gas (CNG). The university has a total of 18 CNG buses and is in the course of changing over its fleet cars to CNG. By the end of 2011, it contrives to have 90 fleet CNG vehicles, figuring that the in progress CNG change over has by now conserved the university in excess of $40,000 in fuel prices.

The CNG fueling station, which is ranked as the second Clean Energy fueling station in the state, opened up for business in January. The fueling station has its Headquarters in Seal Beach, California. Clean Energy Fuels Corp. fuels in excess of 18,000 natural gas vehicles at 200 planned localizations throughout the United States and Canada.

Hargis stated that “Converting the university’s fleet to CNG is no small task. For one thing, it required having convenient CNG fueling available. So, we turned to the leader in that area, Clean Energy. He further added that “We are delighted to partner with Clean Energy in building this state-of-the-art station, which serves OSU and the public.”

Chesapeake CEO Aubrey McClendon said “This is a great day for Oklahoma as we take another important step in realizing the advantages of compressed natural gas as a transportation fuel. I’m excited about our partnership with OnCue Express, an Oklahoma company and high-quality fuel retailer.”

He further added that “CNG is clean, abundant, affordable and American – we hope this station is just the first of many CNG stations in our city and state made possible in part because of landmark legislation championed by Speaker Benge last spring. This is a great example of using Oklahoma’s most valuable natural resource to provide revenues to the state and to provide more green jobs and affordable, clean fuel for Oklahoma families. This is our answer to finally begin breaking free from the stranglehold of foreign oil.”

With gas costs growing and imbalance in the Middle East, the idea of an electric car in the garage might be more attractive. But before you thing of jumping in for the new technology, be sure your garage is prepared to become a refueling station.

Reckoning on which car you purchase and how old your dwelling is, you could prepare the garage in your house with the help of merely a couple thousand dollars so that you can charge a car speedily enough to start to your work place in the morning with a fully charged battery.

The more aged your home is, the less amount of chances or conditions to handle an electric car may be present. In reality 50 years ago, no body would have thought of plugging in cars at night!

Thus you may have to rewire your garage. Based in guidelines from experts, you require as a minimum a 12-amp circuit to charge a car in a practical amount of time.

You also require an electric circuit in the garage with slight or not anything else on it, since if power is drawn by anything else from the same circuit it will naturally slow the charging. It might still not work out for you even if you have a dedicated circuit in the garage.

The majority of the garages in the U.S. have typical 120-volt exits. But a committed 240-volt electrical outlet, like the type that powers an electric dryer, can slash the charging time to half. This is very imperative and depends on the electric car you purchase.

Two mass-market electric cars, the Chevrolet Volt and the Nissan Leaf, have dissimilar power arrangements and dissimilar charging requirements.

The Leaf which is an all electric can go up to 100 miles on a single charge where as the Volt can go only around 40 miles on battery power. But the volt has a tiny gas engine on board which helps the car traveling further when the battery runs out. The Leaf requires more juice than the Volt to refill the batteries. The Leaf can be recharged within 8 hours even with a 240-volt circuit, whereas the Volt can be recharged in 10 hours even on 120 volts, five hours or less at 240.

GM figures that recharging the Volt will cost approximately $1.50 per day to your electric bill. AeroVironment, the company which creates charging stations for Nissan advocates equipping your garage with a particular 240-volt station.

The introductory station starts charging when you plug the car in; a smart station can begin recharging later on in the evening when the burden on the power company grid is lesser.

“Either way, you’ll need an electrician who knows about car charging to figure out your needs and hook the 240-volt station to a dedicated 40-amp circuit,” said Kristen Helsel who is the vice president of electric vehicle resolutions for AeroVironment.

She further added “This is no different than installing an appliance or something else. We need to take the power from your breaker box and run it to where you want the charging station installed.”

She stated that “it will cost about $2,000 to buy the dock and standard installation services by an electrician when done through AeroVironment and a Nissan dealership.”

The Volt has an adjustment that allows the owner choose the time by which the car has to be recharged completely or for the car to wait to start charging. The Leaf has a device for the owner to set on and off times for charging depending on the day of the week.

The All Pakistan CNG Association (APCNGA), the Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association (PPDA) and the All Pakistan Transport Owners Federation (APTOF) on Tuesday afternoon held a disapproval testimony at the Liberty Market opposite the two-day CNG bucket dropping in the city.

APCNGA Supreme Council Chairman Ghias Paracha while addressing the objectors, enunciated that the management should not discriminate the CNG sector, which was buying gas at the lead rate and utilizing only 6% of the gas expended in the country.

He postulated that “the supervision should bar the CNG zone from the gas bucket shedding because in Punjab 2.5 million vehicles were being run on CNG. He pronounced there were 2,000 CNG stations in Punjab contracting 22,000 workers and if bucket shedding was not stopped, the stuffing hire owners would not be means to compensate back their bank loans.”

Nationals, on Monday, had to face a lot of problems due to non-availability of gas at CNG stations in the city. If the situation continues the same then people will surely have to face the same problem due to the inaccessibility of CNG on Tuesday as well.

According to the SNGPL (Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited schedule), bucket dropping of CNG on every Monday and Tuesday will be eminent in Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sahiwal, Multan and Gujranwala, since in Faisalabad, Islamabad and Bahawalpur, CNG vacations will be observed on every Friday and Saturday.

Ghias Abdullah Paracha who is the Supreme Council Chairman of APCNGA marked that “CNG stations have perceived SNPGL notices per an anathema on sale of gas from 8am to 8pm during the day in further to the two-day bucket shedding. About the notice for twelve hours of every day bucket shedding, the APCNGA authority pronounced that he had also perceived an email from SNGPL.”

SNGPL Sales Officer AsifUllah stated that, “We are reception a vast number of complaints of low vigor of gas from different made during home localities in the Lahore region. In sequence to supply undeviating gas, we need the closure of CNG stations from 8am to 8pm on a every day basement starting from Monday via the Lahore city.”

Paracha said, “We have already been pang a lot from the SNGPL’s bucket shedding schedule, but the new sequence for every day shutdown for twelve hours is the extent of victimization. We strongly reject and reject it. We have called a puncture assembly in Lahore on Tuesday (today) and will theatre a criticism at the Liberty Chowk Gulberg.”

A high-ranking SNGPL central when was contacted, pronounced that “the two-day bucket shedding would go on in the month of Jan and is expected to go on during the total winter deteriorate to yield undeviating gas supply to the made during home consumers. However, about the 8am to 8pm gas sale ban, he pronounced no such report had been voiced so far. I have also reliable from my high-ups and they denied any such announcement.”

Previously, on Nov 3, Lahore CNG lease proprietors presented a testimony on the name of the APCNGA contrary the government’s “unfair policy” for the CNG zone and the unwarranted bucket shedding plan. Objections were presented on the Lower Mall in the shape of a assemble that marched towards the Civil Secretariat and presented a sit-in for an hour in front of the Civil Secretariat building.

APCNGA Punjab Region Chairman Fiaz Gillani, Vice Chairman Majid Ansari, former authority of Punjab segment Captain Shuja and the conduct of Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Sargodha and other areas headed the rally.

Vehicles that use compressed and tidy gas are known as healthy gas vehicles. Many countries, like the United States of America, thick healthy gas is applied to fuel car, vans, pick-up trucks, movement and school-buses and trucks. Other countries, like Malaysia, consume compressed healthy gas for taxi-cabs and airport uses. India applies CNG particularly for open ride system as well as in auto-rickshaws. Thailand also adopts CNG for the tuk-tuks and Pakistan for their three-wheelers.

Till 2009, there was only around 11million healthy gas fomites in the world. Pakistan has around 2,250,000, cars, busses, trucks and others running on CNG. Iran has approximately 1,700,000 CNG fomites on the roads. There are around 900,000 CNG fomites in Europe and barely 90,000 in Eurasia, while North America has almost reached the 120,000 mark.

Why CNG is the Best

CNG cars are zero emission cars that have been around for quite a few years now. What a good number people do not understand is that these cars are usually marked as twin fuel cars. The uncompromising imbalance here is that when it runs off the gas fuel, the engine will run much cleaner and so is considered better for the surroundings. Not only does the auto run without emissions, but it also runs for a longer time.

CNG which mainly contains methane (CH4) is made by packing together natural gas to less than 1% of the level it fills at standard atmospheric pressure. It is laid in and circulated in hard containers at a force of 200–248 bar (2900–3600 psi), generally in cylinder or sphere shaped containers. CNG’s volumetrical energy density is figured to be 42% of LNG’s since it is not liquefied and 25% of diesels.

Pros of CNG Vehicles

CNG Vehicles are most advantageous to the environment. It is excellent for the environment as it does not surround any harmful components for instance sulphur and lead, which are harmful for the ambiance.

CNG helps in increasing the life of hint plugs. It also helps in increasing the hold up camber of the lubing oils. It does not add to the decomposing of the crankcase oil but instead serves to prevent dilution. Since it evaporates very fast it is capable of mixing uniformly and effortlessly into the atmosphere.

There are two ways by which you can enjoy the profits of CNG fomites that is by buying a natural gas vehicle or installing an existent vehicle with a CNG conversion kit. On the other hand, there is no more than one NGV prototype obtainable to the general public – the restricted accessibility Honda Civic GX. The Civic GX is the CNG-powered edition of Honda’s well-liked Civic sedan with manufacture fixed to about 1,100 units every year.

Because of the restricted accessibility of the Civic GX, the other more achievable alternative is to install an existent vehicle with a CNG conversion system so that it can run by means of CNG. Luckily, most gasoline-powered fomites from uplift trucks to SUVs to minute cars can be provided with CNG conversion kits. Natural gas transition conversion can be an intricate procedure but is in fact quite accomplishable. Nevertheless it is best to allow for natural gas transition process to the experts.

Cons of CNG Fomites

CNG fomites call for a larger amount of room for fuel storage than usual gasoline powered fomites. Since it is compressed and not liquid it takes up extra room for each gasoline gallon equivalent (GGE). But the factory-built versions do not have such problems because the tanks are installed beneath the body of the vehicle.
